As a senior encoder developer, you will take the lead in the design and development of Livery’s Video encoder. Your work will ensure that video is encoded as efficiently as possible while continuously trying to decrease the time the encoding process takes. The encoder also does the packaging and delivers the CMAF segments to the CDN. The encoder is deployed to on-prem hardware and on AWS.
And how senior do I have to be?
With your over 4 years of C development experience, this is a nice next step for you. CMake, Go and CirleCI are in your back pocket and you know Linux like your own house. You’re familiar with tools like DASH, HLS, H264, VP9 and your knowledge of MP4 would be a pre. You are able to make important technical decisions based on data and can create high-quality code consistently.
