High-frequency trading, cryptocurrency, working with powerful computer programs, and use of complex algorithms… We offer you a unique opportunity to join an Amsterdam-based trading firm with an innovative and open culture at the heart of their business.

You have my curiosity

The Netherlands has always been at the forefront of financial trading and this firm is looking to keep it that way. This trading company is one of the world’s largest liquidity providers that help maintain and improve the overall transparency and efficiency of the ecosystem.

As a High-Frequency trading firm, it breathes technology. Make no mistake, IT is their core business. Performance, speed, and reliability are key factors of their success. This is where you come in. Do you like thinking out of the box, do you have a creative mind, and do you love working in a high-paced environment, then we are looking for you!

Now you have my attention

You’ll work in a team that takes responsibility to own the complete solution. Outside of creating FPGA designs, you will be responsible for finding ways to become more productive and improve verification, along with measuring and monitoring your already-deployed solutions.

They currently use a combination of SystemVerilog, Verilog, C++, Python, and scripting languages for their FPGA systems. FPGAs allow the company to achieve the lowest possible latencies which are key in keeping the trading strategies best in class. As a member of this A-team, you will get to see every part of the organization and look for ways to improve it.

That’s it! But do I qualify?

Of course, you’ll be settled, because you bring the right set of tools to build the perfect solutions. A few years of relevant experience with FPGA and ASIC design, testing, and verification module design will definitely come in handy, though we’re mainly focused on the willingness and ability to learn. Designing complex PCBs and related work experience with network and system-level protocols, packet-based data processing, and computer architecture are good things to have in your toolbox.

So this trading thing, what does it pay?

Pretty damn well, to be honest. Starting with a base salary between €85.000 and €120.000 gross a year, excluding the secondary benefits. And those secondary benefits, are second to none. From a fully catered lunch every day and flexible working to a royal end-of-year bonus. You know I said speed was key? What are you waiting for? Click apply!
