A noble mission! How can I help?
As a Java Developer, you will focus on finding the best treatments for cancer patients through a data-driven approach. You will be responsible for the continuous integration and development of new or enhanced technologies, combining software engineering, research, testing, deployment, and operations. Your role involves working on various projects, including building a new portal for data sharing and documenting and testing the current technological infrastructure. In this position, you will closely collaborate with software developers, bioinformaticians, and data scientists to manage clinically relevant data, thereby making a direct impact on patients’ lives through improved diagnostics and care. Your technical skills will contribute significantly to the fight against cancer and the optimization of related processes. Definitely! But what do I need for this?
You should have completed a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, or a related field. Additionally, you must have at least three years of experience as a Java Developer or in a similar role where you have gained experience with DevOps or infrastructure as code, preferably working with Java and/or Kotlin. Your attention to detail is exceptional, making you the ideal candidate to see projects through from start to finish, and you possess strong communication skills.
You are driven by a desire to improve care for cancer patients and have a keen interest in oncology, algorithms, and data analysis. Moreover, you are fluent in Dutch and have excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
