With their unique E-commerce offering, this company has taken the dutch market by storm and they’re looking to stay on top. They’ve spent the last 15 years building a community of millions of satisfied customers and now it’s time to take their platform to the next level. Of course, they’ve constantly updated their platform over the years to stay in line with modern technology standards but it’s time for a complete overhaul. A fresh start. A clean slate. A greenfield. That’s where you come in.
What do they need me to do?
Not much. Just a complete migration of all their applications from PHP to Kotlin and React. Pretty much all their business processes have been implemented in PHP and they’re looking to rebuild these processes in Kotlin micro-services with React-based front-end applications. Of course, in the meantime, their current platform has to be maintained and only someone with sounds knowledge of PHP will be able to properly extract all the processes they’re looking to migrate.
Sounds cool, what else do I need?
Some solid PHP development skills are already a great start. We’re not looking for a specific number of years here, we’re looking for skills. Of course, any experience with frameworks like Symfony or libraries like Doctrine is more than welcome and any knowledge you may have when it comes to either Kotlin or React will surely come in handy. They’re well on their way to fully implementing the DevOps culture, which means you’ll also need to know a thing or two about unit testing and CI/CD in general.

Of course, you don’t. Which is why you’ll start with a base salary between € 65.000 and € 85.000,- gross a year. On top of that, you’ll receive a very competitive secondary package with pretty much anything you can imagine.
