Clickbait, Sponsored content, and Fake News. Print media is dying, while the need for quality journalism has never been greater. Fortunately, there is one promising tech company looking to make a difference. For the newspapers, the magazines, and for you. And they need the help of an experienced Ruby Developer like you to do it.
Why?
They started back in 2014 and have since taken over the Dutch and German market but that’s not enough. They want to expand globally. This company is looking to be the savior of Journalism. And the core team, the one taking care of all of their platforms, is looking for an experienced Ruby Developer.
That’s me, what do they need?
As a Ruby Developer, you will collaborate with different colleagues depending on the work involved. For instance, collaborating with the Product Lead to translate the functional requirements for a feature into a technical design. You will discuss technical issues with your team, and take part in the scrum process. As production bugs can be painful, your job also includes tracking them down, working on a fix, and deploying it to production. Because you have lots of experience you will mentor and coach others when needed.
Cool, what do
you want me to bring?
A few years of solid Ruby Development experience to start with. Of course, they also like to containerize, so Kubernetes is definitely a plus. Beyond that, it’s up to you. If you already have experience with Golang, Kafka or GraphQL, that’s awesome. If you don’t, we’ll help you learn.
Nice, but what else do I get?
A very competitive salary between €55.000 and €70.000 gross a year, Full travel reimbursement, a MacBook (or Windows laptop if you prefer), Flexible hours, Free lunches, Weekly massages, and Unlimited Holidays. Yes, Unlimited. So what are you waiting for? Click Apply!
