Sounds interesting, but what would I actually do?
You’ll be part of an international development team, working with colleagues from different disciplines to develop software for new and existing platforms. Naturally, most of your work will be related to Natural Language processing. It starts with gathering data from different sources by, for example, using web scrapers. Of course, you’ll want to do something with all that data so you’ll be building Java-based solutions around it following frameworks like Spring and OSGi and implementing NLP models. All of this happens in a state-of-the-art environment where teams work according to Agile, modern CI/CD tooling is part of the furniture, and everything is containerized.
Awesome! What do I need to bring?
That winning mentality for starters! But in all seriousness, you will need some solid Java experience. Which is best backed up by at least a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Experience with NLP on the other hand is not a requirement. As long as you’re willing to learn and have the talent to catch up quickly, they’ll happily meet with you. The same goes for experience with things like web scrapers and containers. Assertiveness and curiosity are the main criteria, everything else is a bonus.
