Can you be in Transport and in the meantime contribute to a more sustainable world? This giant in logistics & transport makes it look like they’re going to be. With their innovation program, a modern transport organization is very near. But they need you to achieve that.
Why innovation?
We’ll tell you. They are a giant in logistics & transport, and they do it properly. More than properly, actually. As mentioned, they are active in more than 24 countries, and to manage these operations they are relying heavily on data to support their business. There is still a lot of room for them to make improvements, just to give an easy example: where your postal service uses advanced track&trace services, within a lot of logistics companies, this is still not the case.
Therefore, using technology to their advantage is high on their priority list. They want to use data, apps, and other useful software solutions in their complete operation, to be more effective, efficient but even more important sustainable. If they do that properly, they stay ahead of the competition and can offer the best services to their clients.
How can you help?
Firstly, you need to be passionate about data and have a couple of years of experience as a Data Engineer. Secondly, you have an entrepreneurial mindset and a “real can do” mentality! Furthermore, it would also be nice if you have experience with developing complex algorithms to transform data and building ETL pipelines, working with DataBricks and have experience with Synapse would be a (pre). Also, techniques like Python are not unfamiliar to you!
In this international environment, a profound understanding of the English language is obvious.
That’s me! And what do I get in return?
For a job as important as this, the reward won’t be small. A yearly salary between €35.000 and €45.000 is already nice, but that’s not all. They offer a company pension plan and reimbursement for the costs of the daily commute. The working agreements are flexible and you receive 28 vacation days based on a full-time job.
