Gaming

Videogames, interactive television, and live streaming. Sound like your kind of environment? Perfect, you’ll love this.

Tell me more!

Traditional television is on its way out. It has been for a while. What’s taken its place are live game-shows where the audience at home can actually participate, mobile games where millions compete against each other, and more streaming solutions and services than we could’ve ever imagined. This company has been and still is, at the forefront of each of these developments.

They work with major game publishers, TV producers and networks, streaming services like Twitch, and pretty much any other type of media company out there. They’re THE best at interaction and service millions of concurrent users without fail. And they need your help to get better at it.

What can I do?

As an experienced Java Developer, you’ll join a team of passionate and highly-skilled developers in designing and building engaging experiences for a worldwide audience. You’ll be involved in different projects for clients in all different branches of modern media. From second-screen applications for TV-shows to Esports tournaments. It’ll be up to you and your team to deliver a consistently amazing experience to millions of users by building reliable, performant, and scalable solutions. And you’ll do all of it from their beautiful office with a perfect view of the Amsterdam skyline.

Sounds like my kind of job, but what should I bring?

Serious Java skills for starters. You’ll probably need a relevant computer science degree and at least 5 years of solid experience to get to this level but maybe you’re just that good. It also helps if you already have some experience with building video applications or have a background in environments with impressive numbers of users. Of course, the most important part is still your drive to keep learning and exploring new technologies. From different cloud solutions to containerization and DevOps practices.

That’s me! But what does it pay?

A healthy base salary between €55.000 and €70.000 gross a year and seriously everything else you can think of. Best equipment out there? Got it. Pension, educational budget, working from home, healthy lunches? Got it, got it, got it. There’s really no point to keep going on. You already know what you want to do. Click apply!
