Want to be part of a worldwide breakthrough? And looking for a challenge to put your Software Engineering skills to the test? This can be your new employer, where you can contribute to a big game-changer within the financial payment industry!
What’s this about?
In the world of online banking services, there are a few big fish swimming around, and one of these fish is starting to become blue-whale-sized. But they’re not there yet. For that, they need out-of-the-box thing Java Developers who have experience with scaling up applications/platforms, preferably within the FinTech industry, but this is not a must. The most important thing for our clients is, that we find professionals who know what they’re doing and want to constantly challenge themself and their team. Because it’s time for this company to make a worldwide impact. And in line with that process, you will have the chance to be part of this movement and leave your footprint!
And what is it I will be contributing to?
Contributing to building completely new infrastructure, that’s what you will do. Hundreds of developers here use development tools for that task, and you will help provide those tools. You’ll do this in the team that enables the development workflows and manages the build system. In that way, the code quality tools are structurally improved and developers can ask their questions to the best people.
You’ll be busy with platform engineering, with the purpose to enable their engineers to autonomously build and support secure, scalable, and reliable applications.
Great! What check marks do I have to fill?
Of course need to have a healthy interest to work with complex, distributed, high-performance platforms. You will have a couple of years of experience working with Core Java and are also comfortable with the Linux command-line interface. You also enjoy enabling other developers to be efficient and autonomous. Maybe good to know is that the common denominator across all core platform teams is that they work with infrastructure technologies that support the application. If you have experience with or are willing to learn, several of the following, JVM internals (garbage collection, class loading, resource profiling), Managing a large mono-repository, Database internals and advanced query optimizations (specifically PostgreSQL), Container fundamentals, and inner workings, Hashicorp stack, Complex build systems, we strongly believe this can be a good opportunity for you!
And what’s in it for me?
Don’t you worry about your reward? If the stuff you read above here doesn’t motivate you enough, we know how to trigger you even more. If they are up to something big, something big should be in return for you. And who doesn’t want to be part of such a big, game-changing project like this? Jeroen will tell you more about it as soon as you apply.
