What would be your roadmap?
They have ambitious plans which will include new brands, concepts, new markets, and of course, new technologies. Together with more than 60 techies, you will make this possible. The current cloud-native tech stack includes Shopify, Salesforce, AWS and they have just selected a new PIM which needs to be implemented. Of course, they are agile, if they snooze they lose. Their R&D team is currently developing a headless environment. You will be responsible for the vision and overall strategy for the technical department. You will be the voice of Tech on the leadership table and you will push the functional agenda into the future, seeking sustainable, competitive advantages and technical growth opportunities.
What do I need to bring in?
Experience within a fast-paced scale-up e-commerce company for sure. You love technology, are always up to date, and are very active in the tech community. Experience within a technology leadership role. You are a born coach, manager of non-tech stakeholders, complexity, and people management are your middle names. On top of this, you are an excellent communicator. You will support the development/delivery managers in their personal and professional growth, make sure they have a clear understanding of their performance, and enable them to manage the daily operations. You will drive the talent pipeline and define a growth and development approach to retain and attract strong tech talent. With your skills, you will manage, mentor, and coach 4 teams: front-end, back-end, R&D, and cloud & data infrastructure.
What is the return on investment of your time and energy?
