High performance, low latency, financial markets… You know where this is going right? Yup, trading. Business is booming right now and this company is looking to make the most of it. Which is where you come in.
You have my curiosity
The Netherlands has always been at the forefront of financial trading and this company is looking to keep it that way. As a High-Frequency trading firm, it breathes technology. For every trader on the floor, there are at least two developers. Make no mistake, IT is their core business. Because in such a highly competitive market, performance, speed, and reliability are key. Which is where you come in.
Your job here starts with a seven-week global trading traineeship, after that you continue your training in your local office in Amsterdam for two more months. Once you’re totally ready, you get a desk that matches your specific background and strengths. But you’re sure to be collaborating with traders to evaluate existing models, to build customized analysis tools and to apply rigorous quantitative techniques to solve complex problems. That’s something, right?
And how good do I already have to be?
As a quant researcher here, you have good mathematical skills, together with a problem-solving mind- and skillset. But since you’re entering lots of training sessions and will develop your best skills at the start of your job, you don’t have to be super experienced to have a good chance. That’s why this is such a nice way to boost your career. The only thing that’s really coming in handy, is your programming skills in either C++. Java or Python.
So this is trading, what does it pay?
Pretty damn well, to be honest. Starting with a base salary between €50.000 and €65.000 gross a year, excluding the secondary benefits. And those secondary benefits, are second to none. From a fully catered lunch every day and flexible working to a royal end-of-year bonus. You know I said speed was key? What are you waiting for? Click apply!
