Now that the energy transition is in full swing, the goal is to give the whole of the Netherlands access to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy. You can now optimally contribute to that.

What’s the challenge?

The energy transition may be the biggest challenge of current society and we are already well on our way. More and more roofs are being fitted with solar panels, electric transport is developing rapidly, and wind farms can be found in more and more places. These are all positive developments. However, these developments place heavy demands on the power grid, which threatens to become overloaded. That’s an enormous challenge to overcome because not many electricity suppliers can manage that delicate balance.

With its unique solutions, this company contributes to keeping the energy network reliable, accessible, and affordable. It specializes in developing, maintaining, and managing energy networks and providing insight into energy flows across those networks. In this way, the supplier and customer can find each other freely. They also help customers to switch to sustainable forms of energy. And that is a huge challenge: they want to increase production fivefold to meet the demand for sustainable energy. To achieve that, radical change is needed.

And what can I do exactly?

As a Full Stack Developer, you will be part of the System Operations department, where they focus on keeping the energy network accessible for their customers. They do this by implementing smart solutions that enable them to connect more people. In your role you’ll be working closely with other developers within a Scrum team, to deliver new functionality and keep the current applications up and running. Everything here relies on DevOps practices, which means you won’t just be creating new functionality but also monitoring and maintaining components and communicating with stakeholders. Good to know is that here they work with Java, Kotlin, and REST. Also, PostgreSQL, GitHub, and Tekton are part of the components.

Sounds good, what do they need from me?

As an open communicator, you’re keen on learning and adaptability. Your role isn’t just about coding new features; it also includes monitoring and maintaining the components and CI/CD pipeline. With at least 3 years of Java or Kotlin experience combined with Spring and proficiency in frontend tech like JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Angular, you’re well-equipped. Familiarity with tools like Sonar, Git, Docker, and Gradle, plus some CI/CD experience, is crucial. You’re an advocate for acceptance testing, unit testing, and peer reviews and have hands-on experience with JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium, or Jasmine. Knowledge in Kafka, MongoDB, SQL, Bash scripting, Tekton, OpenShift, Kubernetes, OpenAPI, Scrum, Jira, and REST/JSON is highly valued. Also, you have excellent English written and verbal skills.

I’ve got it all, but what’s in it for me?

You can count on a monthly salary between €4.500,- and €5.500,- and some great benefits. You’ll receive a fixed end-of-year bonus and a choice budget which you can use as you wish. Also, working from home is part of the possibilities and you get a budget to create your own home office. In addition, on this work floor, you can get the best out of yourself. You have the energy, they offer the space. Are you ready for it? Apply now, you will hear from us soon!
