During each match, a huge amount of data is collected and there are valuable insights hidden inside. This company works to extract those insights and delivering them to clubs, players, and fans all over the world. With a streaming data pipeline running on AWS and by using state-of-the-art Machine Learning techniques they are able to extract valuable information that they deliver to their customers through a web portal and customer-facing APIs. And they need your help to further develop, improve, and maintain it.
What do they need me to do?
The bulk of your work will be to further develop and maintain the SPA they use to deliver their customers the insights they ask for. This means implementing advanced metric and analytics visualizations and implementing new UI features in collaboration with the UI/UX Designer. Of course, you’ll want to make sure it works. So you’ll also write Unit and E2E tests.
I already have my football boots on, what else do I need?
That’s a good start but honestly, a few years of relevant Front-end Development might be a bit more important. Preferably in Vue or React. Some experience working with testing frameworks like Jest or Jasmine will also definitely come in handy and I think it goes without saying that you have to be a team player.
Do I get paid like a football player?
Unfortunately, no. But the pay definitely isn’t bad either. There’s a base salary between €40.000 and €55.000 gross a year and the perks are nice as well.
