For one of the Netherlands’ most prestigious consultancy firms, we are looking for a Freelance DevOps Engineer. They are currently working with one of Europe’s largest retailers to deliver a new POS-solution and they need your help.
The Project
With thousands of stores spread out over more than 40 different countries, it’s quite a challenge to successfully roll-out a new POS system. In a project as complex as this, there are a lot of things that can go wrong, which is why this retailer solicited the help of a leading consultancy firm in embedding this system into their IT landscape. Currently, they are working to deliver a Proof of Architecture which, if successful, will be implemented globally. In order to deliver this PoA, they are looking to build a Scrum team to work with their client starting April 1st. This is where you come in.
What do I need to bring?
Besides, of course, a number of years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer we are looking for someone with a solid understanding of Microsoft Azure, specifically PaaS. We expect you to be familiar with building microservices in .NET Core or NodeJS in combination with TypeScript. You have good understanding of most CI/CD concepts, like Docker and Kubernetes. Database Concepts and typical developer hygiene like unit testing, git and code reviews are part of the job.. You've got knowledge on authentication standards like OAuth 2.0, OpenId Connect, SAML and JWT. Event driven architecture, microservice concepts, DDD, REST API's and various (sync / a-sync) integrations methods are no strangers to you. Is this you, and are you available starting April 1st?
