The Netherlands has always been at the forefront of financial trading and this company is looking to keep it that way. As a High-Frequency trading firm, it breathes technology. For every trader on the floor, there are at least two developers. Make no mistake, IT is their core business. Because in such a highly competitive market, performance, speed, and reliability are key. Which is where you come in.
Here comes my responsibilities package
To help them reach the best talent in the world and get their name out there they want to host a trading challenge. In order to do this successfully, they have to stand out to the people we are trying to reach (they are busy people). They’ll need something that is equal parts challenge and entertainment. It is an amazing experience to be in, but a great story to share as well. And this is where we need you. You will develop a global trading game that is set in a fictional world. Each participant’s mission will be to bring prosperity through trade on a single market. The experience will combine automated trading challenges with manual trading challenges. A personal dashboard, combined with a leaderboard and ‘news’ from their fictional world, will set the stage. Participants have to combine data analytics, statistics, and real-world strategic insight to end up on top.
That’s awesome! What do I need to bring?
Your 4+ years of Full-stack developing experience is already great, but you have more. You can build applications using Spring Boot and have knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL. And when you’re familiar with Kafka, MongoDB, React, Kubernetes, and/or Typescript, you’re totally settled.
And what will my paycheque look like?
This will be a lucrative project. Your salary range is between 70-110 euros per hour, so you do the math. And a temporary job like this will look extraordinary well on your resume, especially at a company this big and sophisticated.
