Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer, you will continuously improve and maintain the low latency Linux based back-end environment. You will manage and maintain big data solutions, Linux clusters and storage and backup infrastructure. Their main focus is on systems automation, DevOps, and CI/CD so they can deploy rapidly and repeatedly. You will work closely with systems and network engineers, and developers. Therefore it is very important that you have excellent communication skills and a broad conceptual knowledge of software development.
Skillset DevOps Engineer
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration and Linux internals; including services, networking, and file systems
- Proven work experience in storage, backup, network and cloud-based technologies
- Experience with Git or SVN and CI tools such as TeamCity and Jenkins
- Functional knowledge of SQL and working with databases
- Solid shell scripting and Python skills
- Knowledge of Docker, Mesos and Kubernetes
- Experience with distributed and parallel high-performance file systems such as GPFS
- Experience with automated provisioning and systems management (PXE, Puppet, Salt)
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with minimal direct supervision
Compensation DevOps Engineer
- Salary €80.000- €120.000 (depending on knowledge and experience)
