Our client is a global provider of it services and applications within several different domains of expertise. They serve clients worldwide. For their office near Leiden we are looking for a Cloud Architect expert.
As a Strategic Cloud Architect, you will develop and define Cloud Technologies for enhancing the business agility. This role is primarily focused on Europe and you will be working with an established European based Architecture team consisting of 5 architects. You will be providing deep technical knowledge in the use of both Azure and AWS Cloud Technologies, defining the strategic direction, definitions and developing standards for Cloud Technologies as well as providing advisory and guidance to the Solution Architects. In addition, you will be also part of a wider global Architecture team which consists of more than 30 Architects.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Thought leadership in Public Cloud Architecture and how to deliver it at scale in a large enterprise
- Support development programs to develop cloud-native applications
- Security architecture for external cloud technology
- Serve as trusted advisor to all stakeholders
Skillset Strategic Cloud Architect
- You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree
- You have 10+ years' IT Experience of which at least 5 years’ within an Architecture Role
- You have 2+ years' experience in a leading role
- You have at least 3 years as lead architect supporting the migration of infrastructure resources to the Public Cloud (Azure and AWS)
- You have recent experience in Architecture, Design and implementation of complex, highly available and highly scalable solutions, including Disaster Recovery
- A working experience in an enterprise-wide Architectural governance, architecture decisions, exceptions, standards etc.
- A working knowledge of Information Security and how to implement technologies to provide compliant solutions
- Experience developing complex business cases
- Project management skills: financial/budget management, scheduling and resource management
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
- Architecture Certification: TOGAF, Open Group, ARCHIMATE, ZACHMAN or others.
- Azure Certified Architect and/or Amazon Certified Architect
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Compensation Package
- Salary €90.000 – €120.000
