And what is it I’ll do?
You are becoming their System Engineer at the office in Amsterdam . You will see your team every day and will be drinking coffee with colleagues like traders, developers and technology vendors. And from a more technical point of view?
You will continuously improve and maintain their low latency Linux based trading and backend environment. There is a heavy focus on systems automation and CI/CD so they can deploy everything rapidly and repeatable. You are managing all the distributed systems, big data solutions storage infrastructure. Enough responsibilities.
How good do I have to be?
Your knowledge of Linux system administration and Linux internals gets you pretty far already, but you can do more. Deploying, testing and administrating Kubernetes clusters is no problem and code versioning tools and CI tools like Git, TeamCity or Jenkins are also in your skill set. But above all, you enjoy the fast pace of this organization and solid working mentality you can find here.
