It might sound strange but to them, it’s not just about cars anymore. It’s about getting from A to B whenever and however you want, without losing sight of the environment.
One of the ways they are looking to make an impact is by developing smart digital solutions. Data-driven solutions, for both their clients and their own internal needs. Solutions that can provide their clients insight into usage and predict maintenance. And solutions that give internal stakeholders insight into how to better attract and service those clients. This is where you come in.
What do you need?
Insight. That’s what it’s about. Providing internal stakeholders insight into ways to improve their business and clients with ways to increase their mobility. From market and driver behavior data, to data on car maintenance and the usage of alternative forms of mobility. There’s just too much of it. So they’re looking to develop new machine learning models that can help them to analyze and understand all this data and predict the way forward.
Of course, someone has to develop these models. And before that happens, someone has to talk to a whole range of internal stakeholders to collect the necessary datasets and determine what the priorities are. And once the ML-model has been developed and starts to produce results, someone has to present those results to the stakeholders so they can actually make a difference. In short, someone will get to guide the entire process from end to end and help shape the data strategy of the entire company.
Who is this someone?
That someone could be you. If you’ve read this far it probably is. So you already know what you’re going to need to succeed. You’ve got the necessary years of experience and you feel right at home in both R and Python, as well as SQL and a database or two. Machine learning algorithms may still hold some secrets for you but you like learning so you’re not afraid of the challenge. And above all, you’re confident enough to rely on your team for support wherever you may need it.
