What do I bring?
It’s important to have a strong foundation, so a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. The same goes for several years of experience as a Test Engineer of course. The more Salesforce certifications you have the better but what’s even more important is that you see the bigger picture. Salesforce doesn’t exist in a vacuum and neither do you. This is why knowledge about end-to-end testing and Salesforce integration will definitely come in handy.
Besides possessing the right technical skills, you also need to be able to communicate effectively. Being fully fluent in English is just one part of that. Being able to level easily with stakeholders on different levels is another. Whether it be other technical professionals, senior management, or business stakeholders, you’ll be expected to give valuable advice in a meaningful way.
