For decades, this organization has specialized in advanced battery and energy solutions for a wide range of industrial applications. From development to implementation, the focus is on delivering reliable systems that perform under demanding conditions. With the rapid growth of electrification and energy storage, the complexity of these systems has increased significantly, making expertise in software and integration more important than ever.
And what about your role?
As a Field Service Manager, you provide direction and support to the team through technical leadership and coaching. When Field Service Engineers run into challenges, you are the first point of contact to support them. You analyze and resolve complex faults and commissioning issues together within energy and storage systems, PLC-controlled installations, and integrated solutions, always striving for the most sustainable and effective outcome. If an issue cannot be solved remotely, you simply get in the car to assess it on-site and resolve it hands-on or define a clear follow-up action.
You act as a technical sparring partner for Engineering and R&D and safeguard technical quality by monitoring metrics such as first-time-fix rates and failure trends. In addition, you ensure fast and professional handling of incidents and warranty cases. You contribute to technical customer training, documentation, and work instructions, and report service performance and improvement proposals to the Manager Projects & Service.
I want it, but can I do it?
You have a higher professional (HBO) level of thinking and working, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field. They are not specifically looking for an electrical specialist; a mechanical background can be just as successful. You have 5–10 years of hands-on experience in a technical field service environment, where you are used to independently commissioning, maintaining, and optimizing systems.
You have knowledge of energy and power systems and preferably experience with PLC controls. In addition, you are strong in system-level troubleshooting, reading electrical schematics, and resolving complex faults or installations. You combine strong analytical and technical skills with excellent communication abilities, allowing you to clearly explain complex technical information. With your proactive and practical mindset, you take ownership and know how to find the right solution in any situation.
But what’s in it for you?
You will receive a gross annual salary up to €71,000, depending on your knowledge and experience. In addition, you can expect attractive secondary benefits such as a solid pension scheme, 25 vacation days and 5 ATV days, a company/service car, laptop, and phone.
You will step into a role where you can truly make an impact by further developing and strengthening the service department, together with a committed, informal, and diverse team that works towards shared results. There is also a catered lunch every day and plenty of informal moments such as boot camps, Friday afternoon drinks, outings, and an annual company event.
