Sensors, data, and embedded software work together continuously, and you are the one who designs, structures, and optimizes these complex systems. And the role?
As an Embedded Software Architect you are responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the software architecture for digital platforms, embedded systems, and innovative technical solutions. You ensure the software integrates seamlessly with hardwar platforms, system architectures, and industrial applications. You define architectural principles and technical standards and ensure consistency across projects and solutions.
You guide development teams in their architectural choices and evaluate designs and implementations on quality and technical risks. You define interfaces between software, hardware, data, AI, and cloud platforms and work closely with multidisciplinary teams. Lastly, you contribute to technology- and platformradmaps and translate architectural choices into clear development approaches, ensuring solutions are scalable, robust, and future-proof.

You have a higher professional (HBO) or university (WO) degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field and have proven experience in software architecture in an industrial or production environment. You’re experienced in applying architectural principles, understand governance, and how software integrates with hardware, including embedded systems, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols.
You feel right at home in multidisciplinary teams where software, hardware and systems engineering come together and are able to connect to colleagues from different backgrounds. You have a strong analytical mind and know how to solve complex problems in a structured way. With your affinity for R&D and industrial product development, you contribute to innovative solutions. You communicate clearly and work accurately, with a good command of the English language.
What do I get in return?
A salary between € 90,000 and € 105,000 gross per year, depending on your knowledge and experience. Additionally, you receive 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days (basically just extra paid vacation days) on a full-time basis, with employment conditions according to the Metalektro CAO (collective labor agreement).
