Looking through cabinets and warehouses on a construction site at night, or searching offices during the day? One thing is essential: reliable lighting. And that’s exactly what this company knows everything about. Do you want to make sure their data is accurate, their processes stay efficient, and their systems work together seamlessly? Then this is your opportunity.
Tell me more…
With more than a century of experience in energy and lighting solutions, this company is the go-to expert for every challenge. They support professionals working at night, in industrial environments, or out in the field—where plugging into a power outlet simply isn’t an option. They supply premium brands, develop their own solutions when none exist, and understand better than anyone what reliability truly means. And behind that reliability? Accurate data, streamlined processes, and systems that perform exactly as they should.
Sounds great! What will I be doing?
You’ll be responsible for ensuring data remains accurate, consistent, and reliable across the entire organization. Everything currently runs from one central database, and you’ll be the person keeping it in top shape by maintaining data quality, optimizing data structures, and preventing recurring issues. This is not a pure data analytics role. The focus is on data quality, backend optimization, and creating smart integrations between systems.
The company increasingly collaborates with external partners to distribute product data, which requires seamless integrations and synchronizations. You’ll work on new connections between the company and its suppliers, APIs for the webshop and external marketplaces, and integrations with the WMS and external service layers. You’ll build, maintain, and monitor these connections, ensuring different systems, coding structures, and languages communicate flawlessly with one another.
Automation and digitalization are high on the agenda. You’ll actively contribute ideas on how processes can be improved, support development initiatives, and take ownership of projects focused on data quality and process optimization. There are plenty of exciting initiatives waiting to be implemented. You’ll work closely with the specialist currently responsible for this area. As innovation continues to accelerate, the workload is growing, and together you’ll become the driving force behind the company’s data and systems. In short, you’ll be the link between data, technology, and people.
What skills do I need?
We’re confident you’ll have what it takes. You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technical Business Administration, or a similar field, along with three to five years of experience in an IT-driven environment where data, processes, and systems come together. You have a solid understanding of data structures and know how to work with SQL and relational databases.
The most important requirement is experience with an ERP system, preferably SAP Business One. That’s the main priority. Experience with Python is considered a strong advantage, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop your skills further. Above all, you’re a technical all-rounder: someone who can integrate systems, understands automation and digitalization, and knows how to make different systems, coding structures, and languages communicate effectively.
You’re analytical, detail-oriented, and thrive on creating structure. You work independently but also enjoy collaborating to find the best solutions. You stay calm under pressure, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and maintain a clear overview even when priorities shift. A good command of English is essential. Speaking Dutch is a plus, but certainly not a requirement.
What’s in it for me?
You’ll receive a competitive salary of up to €4,750 gross per month based on a full-time position, depending on your experience, whether you’re joining as a junior professional or at a medior level. In addition, you’ll benefit from an excellent pension scheme, extensive learning and development opportunities, personal coaching, and clear career progression prospects.
Your onboarding experience is designed to help you feel at home quickly. You’ll spend time with every department to get to know the business, your colleagues, and the way everything works. You’ll also receive travel expense reimbursement and enjoy several company events throughout the year. Most importantly, you’ll join a close-knit team of experts who will welcome you with open arms—and plenty of coffee and tea.
