Great impact from Luca Massaro at Search X

Luca has been an important part of the Search X team for almost two years. When the opportunity arose to work close to home in bustling Haarlem, Luca grabbed it with both hands. Although he initially had no experience in the IT sector, the exciting nature of the work appealed to him and felt like a fresh start. In the meantime, Luca has made his mark on the company and it is impossible to imagine life without him. He knows everything about the IT industry and stays up to date on what’s going on in the marketplace.

This has enabled him to make some life-changing matches, such as with Philips. Although the perfect candidate had been living in the Netherlands for several years, he was always dependent on a company because he was on an ICT visa. Thanks to Luca’s help, he now has his own visa and can stay here with his family.

Still a tad stubborn

Search X is all about the people, according to Luca. “I think we all have the keywords in us – stubborn, smart, loyal – that makes us unique.”The team always thinks “out of the box” and looks for creative solutions to satisfy both clients and candidates. “That’s what we excel at,” he says.”Not just providing what you’re looking for, but rather what you need.”

Luca is always looking for the best match, but that’s not always easy. His biggest challenge, especially at the beginning, was sensing what someone is really looking for. That often goes deeper than just salary. “Through my experience, and especially by asking the right questions, I can now find exactly what someone cares about. That’s something I’ve had to learn, but an incredibly valuable skill.” For this reason, Luca Massaro can quickly advise on the next steps. Very useful for the candidate!

Consulting is also important for companies, Luca believes. In this, he takes on the role of advisor. “You are not just there to listen to what they are looking for, but rather to see what is going wrong and how to solve it. We know what the market looks like, and that’s very valuable for the client to know.”

Big goals for Mr. Luca Massaro

In addition to his work as a recruiter at Search X, Luca also has a passion for music, photography and good food. In his free time, he performs as a saxophone player at various venues, such as last month in Luxembourg, and enjoys cooking. His speciality? Italian, of course! With his Italian background, this could not be otherwise, but he can also enjoy other cuisines. Professionally, he is also ambitious. He dreams of remaining a successful, stable and unique company together with Search X and raising the bar in the recruitment world.
