Thanks to Joost, we keep thinking big, but stay on the ground with both feet. As one of the founding fathers, he’s been contributing in the big success of Search X from the very beginning. But that success doesn’t make Joost any less motivated. In fact, his drive keeps growing every day. The three-headed management team would lose loads of effectivity and experience if Joost will ever leave. Lucky for us, he doesn’t plan to. As the owner of office-dog Harley, he still recieves gratefulness. The bill for the carpet will come later.

With his smart, stubborn and loyal character, Michel completes the leading trio to what it is now. As a co-owner, he is responsible for the Sales, Marketing and Renewable Engineering divisions. He is a real entrepeneur, with his strengths in setting up businesses and creating new business opportunities. He never loses sight of personal contact with his colleagues, business relations, and clients. He connects with people through his enthusiasm and will always go the extra mile. Ask him for an anecdote en you’ll get a dozen of them. You’ll get him quiet for about 5 minutes only when you win a game of pool from him.

It took quite a while to figure out a job title for Emily. Organisational talent, office manager, accountant, life of the party – you see, Emily is happy with variety. Not just at work, by the way! She also likes to city-trip and has seen just about every city in Europe. Sitting still for long periods behind a laptop is not for her; give her a full agenda instead. Except on Sundays, which are reserved for rest!

Herre chases his dreams. After finishing his studies Environment Economics, he wanted to do something that makes a difference. And as the loyal leader of the Renewable Engineering team, he really does that by bringing people to the best jobs in assisting to the energy transition. Reducing global warming is also out of own interest, because Herre is a real Dutch “cold-sports-guy”. With a bit of snow or ice, he swooshes away and you won’t see him back. Unless the track is in a cirkel, then you’ll see him a lot 😉 He himself is only smooth when he really has to, by the way.

Back at it again! Jan has worked at Search X before, then made a side-step into corporate recruitment and is now back at his regular base. In another life, he might have been a python developer, but the programming language he speaks best is simply the language of humankind. The world of tech, he understands it like no other. That’s the exact reason why he is so good at his job. And work, for him, never stops: from making phone calls in the car to a consultation on the couch with his dog Spook on his lap. Did we mention he likes recruitment? So, if you want to meet him in his spare time, then you better not be afraid of getting your feet wet. Jan loves to go out into nature, preferably on days when nobody else will: a long walk under the grey clouds, a fresh drizzle and not dog in sight. Well, except for Spook.

Malou is one of the driving forces at Search X. She combines her passion for graphic design with an interest in the “why” question. Add to this her skills in text, and you have a complete Marketer. Because Malou serves the collective, she’s the one who helps others get into the saddle. Look around yourself to see if you have such a quiet engine in your environment. And when she prepares her favourite Japanese dish for everyone at lunch again soon, she deserves a statue.

Misha wakes up with recruitment, eats commerciality for breakfast and brushes his teeth with consultative selling. And that’s before he’s even arrived at the office. Recruitment runs through the veins of this experienced headhunter. He knows what drives him now: helping people a step forward, without them even realising it was possible. That’s how Misha accomplishes extraordinary things and could show much more here. But on saturday night, when he’s behind the bar or playing in his band, he’s temporarily unavailable. Relaxation by exertion.

The diverse career of Thomas brought him to what he has now: a house, just married, a dog and a beautiful job. This dream scenario is something he wishes for everyone to have, and that is what makes his job interesting for him. And if he’s cleaning the house on Saturday, he rather seizes his nineties melodic techno hits. We’re all glad he doesn’t have access to the office speakers on Monday morning. That internal drive has never left her though. Running? She completed the Dam tot Damloop in 1.5 hours, and now the Leiden Half Marathon is on the agenda. A small interest in wine? That led to tastings, courses and who knows, maybe even ambitions to become a sommelier. Recruitment? She’s been at home in that field for a number of years now. She does what she’s good at: getting to know new people and helping them further their careers. So there’s a good chance you’ll be talking to her on the phone soon.

He has been a season ticket holder for over twenty years (ask him which club), travels abroad for matches and plays at a high level himself. Unfortunately, you can’t play soccer at Search X, but fortunately for us, helping others is also high on Jesse’s list of priorities. As a curious recruiter, he knows how to ask the right questions and makes connections effortlessly. Making both client and candidate happy, that’s what he does it for. And for the social get-togethers, of course.

A few years ago she still was a dental assistant, now she gets her teeth into helping others find a new challenge. The realisation that as a recruiter, she can truly change someone’s life, is very special to her. She is determined to develop herself into a top-level recruiter. Don’t worry, she has a listening ear too, which she uses to hear between the lines and discover what someone really wants. And besides work? Hiking, reading, sports; Lola is totally into a healthy lifestyle. But good food is also part of that. Whether it’s Indonesian or Surinamese, a good dinner is always welcome. And when she’s cooking? Without a doubt, 15 friends join her at the table.

That Emily has come all the way to Haarlem for us, is pretty special. The born-and-raised Leiden native has lived in the ‘Sleutelstad’ all her life and certainly has no intention of leaving there anytime soon. However, with her knowledge of (cyber) security, she is the perfect match for the IT team, so we are glad she takes the train to us every week. You can get her out of bed for a good cup of coffee, and her favourite coffee order is of course a Dirty Chai. But the office-cappuccino with hazelnut syrup is happily approved too.

Matthijs came in with a mission: to make the most of everything. The result? Within no time he’s up to speed, and the first introductions have already been made. With his energy and optimistic approach, he surely will make it! In his spare time, you can often find him outside the Netherlands – in Spain, Guatemala or the USA (the latter mainly for a classic American steak). He almost has a subscription to airline tickets. Good for us that this well-travelled Brabander prefers the Randstad for work.

That Joy is an aspiring copywriter is something she didn’t even expect herself. As a hospitality manager, she used to write down orders, but her natural talent for copywriting only recently came to light. And we are happy about that! In addition to writing great job listings and articles, Joy also brings a lot of… well, joy! Even when working remotely from Spain. After a day spent surfing the web, she also enjoys surfing the waves on the Costa. She doesn’t like to plan ahead, she rather prefers to be carried away by the current. After all, those waves always roll in the right direction.

GTM Engineer

Ashwin, Ashwinner, Cashwin… If we told you that Ash is a man of puns, you probably won’t be surprised. But that’s not the only thing he excels at, of course. In addition to the occasional pun, he also has amazing dance moves, an inexhaustible drive to innovate and the spiciest lunches. Oh yes, and he’s an A-list celebrity in the GTM field, and we’re delighted that he’s joined Search X.

As an experienced Full Stack Developer, he not only ensures that the website looks nice, but also that we are up and running 24/7 and that applications can be applied safely.
